Designed for the Skywalker X8. Since this has become a favourite airframe for UAV manufactures, it goes by many proprietory names. One such company is Dronemetrex and their Topodrone-100 (Bay doors would need to be cut out)

The Skywalker X8, also known by many names, is a big bird! Typically heavily load with batteries and payloads. These all have an 'impact' on the stress of landing.

Our PET 0.5mm thermo molded shield helps to reduce the scuffs and holes to the foam thereby prolonging the life of your UAV investment.

INSTALLATION:

There are a number of ways to attach the belly skid.

1) Screws (preferred)

lay the skid on belly, Identify 'points' where it needs to pulled in against the fuse. Between 6-9 points see pictures.Mark with a texta, drill through the plastic and into the belly with a 1/8 (3mm) bit. pin each as you go so there is no movement . Remove the skid, using nylon standoff or some other 3mm threaded dowel , glue into the belly. now lay the skid on and use 3mm nylon screws into the dowel.

2) Tape

Use double sided tape around the edges and anywhere else it needs pulling in against the belly.
